Hello, I’m Tom.
I’m a full-on guitar nerd. I’ve been playing for over 20 years, and I doubt I’ll stop anytime soon.
I’ve tried just about every kind of guitar out there, from the most common Fenders and Gibsons to the lowly Teiscos and Guyatones, and I’ve spent a heck of a lot of time around guitar stores, including a little bit of time working at one, back in the day.
I’ve got 2 kids myself, and while steering them through the world of learning guitar, I’ve seen what works, and what doesn’t.
I made this site to impart my advice to folks who are in that same situation, but don’t have the experience with guitars that I do, and don’t know where to start.
And by the way, some of the links I put in to actually buy the guitars may be what’s called affiliate links (meaning I get a few pennies when you spend a dollar), but rest assured, this has no bearing on anything I write, and all my picks are completely based on my true opinion. And of course, I have never taken any sponsorship or promotion money from any manufacturer, or anything like that.
I hope my website helps you with you, or your childs, journey into guitar. It’s an incredibly fun and rewarding activity, and I hope it brings you as much enjoyment as it has brought me.
